Providing monthly orphan sponsorship for the child Muhammad Salem, who survived the massacre of his family in Gaza
In a significant humanitarian gesture, the *Soul of Souls* Relief and Development Foundation announced the provision of a permanent monthly sponsorship for Mohammed Sufian, a child who survived a brutal massacre that wiped out his family in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza. This comes after Mohammed lost his parents, siblings, and over 120 relatives in the savage attack that targeted his family’s home, leaving him completely alone and severely injured.
Mohammed awoke from a coma 25 days after receiving intensive care treatment at Al-Shifa Hospital, only to discover that he had lost everyone he loved. Despite this, the child displayed extraordinary resilience in the face of tragedy, becoming a symbol of perseverance and strength in adversity.
Recognizing the enormity of Mohammed’s ordeal, the *Soul of Souls* Relief and Development Foundation, dedicated to providing humanitarian support, decided to be the first to extend a helping hand to this orphaned child. The foundation committed to providing him with a permanent monthly sponsorship to cover his daily needs, alongside the psychological and social support he urgently requires during this challenging time.
At *Soul of Souls*, we believe that the support we provide to Mohammed is the least we can do for this child who has endured unimaginable loss. We aim to play a vital role in creating an environment that helps him heal and grow despite these difficult circumstances,” a foundation representative stated.
A relative of Mohammed expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for its generous initiative, saying, “We hope this support alleviates Mohammed’s suffering and gives him hope for the future after all he has endured.”
Previously, the Sheikh Radwan massacre garnered international sympathy, with numerous humanitarian organizations and the global community calling for urgent support for children who have lost their families due to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza.
Mohammed Sufian’s tragedy, like many other painful stories from the Palestinian people, stands as a living testament to their continued suffering under persistent aggression. This initiative underscores the importance of social solidarity and ongoing support for war victims, particularly orphans, whose numbers remain uncounted.
